Materials
For great results it is always best to use the recommended yarn
I have used:-
150 grams of King Cole Big Value Baby DK in colour 1
40 grams of King Cole Big Value Baby DK in colour 2

5.50mm & 4.00mm Clover Crochet Hook

TENSION – 4tr & 2 rows measures approx 1 inch using a 5.50mm hook

Snooze Cozy – Made in rounds without turning until the end of 6th Row.

Using colour 1 make a magic circle, with 5.50mm hook make 3ch, (RS) work 11tr into ring, pull loose thread to close circle, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. (11tr +3ch)

2nd Row – (Inc row) 3ch, 1tr into base of 3ch, 2tr into each tr to end, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. (23tr + 3ch)

3rd Row – (Inc row) 3ch, 1tr into base of 3ch, 1tr into next tr, * 2tr into next tr, 1tr into next tr, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. (35tr + 3ch)

4th Row – (Inc row) 3ch, 1tr into base of 3ch, 1tr into each of next 2tr, * 2tr into next tr, 1tr into each of next 2tr, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. (47tr + 3ch)

5th Row – (Inc row) 3ch, 1tr into base of 3ch, 1tr into each of next 3tr, * 2tr into next tr, 1tr into each of next 3tr, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. (59tr + 3ch)

6th Row – (Inc) 3ch, 1tr into base of 3ch, 1tr into each of next 4tr, * 2tr into next tr, 1tr into each of next 4tr, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. Turn. (71tr + 3ch)

7th Row – 1ch, (1dc, 1htr, 1tr) into base of 1ch, * miss 2tr, (1dc, 1htr, 1tr) into next tr, * rpt from * to * to last 2tr, miss tr’s, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn.
(24 textured groups)

8th Row – 1ch, (1dc, 1htr, 1tr) into base of 1ch, * miss 2st, (1dc, 1htr, 1tr) into next dc, * rpt from * to * to last st, miss 2st, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn.

Rpt 8th Row until 53 rows have been worked from beginning or work measures approx 16 Inches. Turn.

54th Row – 1ch, work 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each st to end, ss to first dc on beginning of row. (72dc)

Collar – Working into back loop of stitch only make 1ch, work 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn.

56th Row – Work through both loops of stitch from now on, work 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn.

Rpt last row once. Fasten off. Turn.

Join in colour 2 and rpt last row seven times. Fasten off. Turn.

Join in colour 1 and rpt last row twice. Fasten off Turn.

Join in colour 2.

Shell Edge – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, miss 1dc, 3tr into next dc, * miss 1dc, 1dc into next dc, miss 1dc, 3tr into next dc, * rpt from * to * to last dc, miss dc, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Fasten off. (18 shell groups)

Finishing – Weave and trim of any loose ends of yarn, fold collar on to front of
pocket.

Hat – Made in rounds without turning to the end of Row 14.

Using colour 1 make a magic circle, with 4.00mm hook make 3ch, work 10tr into ring, pull loose thread to close circle, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. (10tr + 3ch)

Row 2 – (Inc row) 3ch, 1tr into base of 3ch, 2tr into each tr to end, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row (21tr + 3ch)

Row 3 – (Inc row) 3ch, 1tr into base of 3ch, 1tr into next tr, * 2tr into next tr, 1tr into next tr, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. (32tr + 3ch)

Row 4 – (Inc row) 3ch, 1tr into base of 3ch, 1tr into each of next 2tr, * 2tr into next tr, 1tr into each of next 2tr, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. (43tr + 3ch)

Row 5 – (Inc row) 3ch, 1tr into base of 3ch, 1tr into each of next 3tr, * 2tr into next tr, 1tr into each of next 3tr, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. (54tr + 3ch)

Row 6 – (Inc row) 3ch, 1tr into base of 3ch, 1tr into each of next 4tr, * 2tr into next tr, 1tr into each of next 4tr, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. (65tr + 3ch)

Row 7 to 13 – 3ch, 1tr into each tr to end, ss to the top of the 3ch on beginning of row.

Row 14 – 1ch, work 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each tr to end, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn. (66dc)

Brim – Working into back loop of stitch only make 1ch, work 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn.

Row 16 – Work through both loops of stitch from now on, work 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end, ss to first dc. Fasten off. Turn.

Join in colour 2 and rpt Row 16 three times. Fasten off. Turn.

Join in colour 1 and rpt Row 16 twice. Fasten off. Turn.

Shell Edge – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, miss 1dc, 3tr into next dc, * miss 1dc, 1dc into next dc, miss 1dc, 3tr into next dc, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Fasten off. (17 shell Groups)

Finishing – Weave and trim of any loose ends of yarn, fold brim on to front of hat.
