A fun to crochet pom-pom hat, made on a 6.00mm hook so it’s soft and warm to wear. It is a simple beanie that can be made to give to your family and friends as gifts or for yourself, made with a textured brim and finished off with a pom-pom topper!
I’m pointing my spotlight on Kathy Lashley from Elk Studio this week for my Designers Corner, Kathy has been crocheting for over 30 years, she is also
an Annie’s instructor and has done an instructional video for left handed
crocheters, check out some of her beautiful designs with the links below.
A warm slouchy hat, worked from the brim to the crown in rounds, this eliminates sewing seams and gives a nice finish, it’s an easy stitch to memorize and can be made in a day, I have used buttons to decorate the brim, but this is optional.
Make in the appropriate colors to go with any outfit, there is lots of slouch to put your hair into on bad hair days. it can be worn by both male or female.
The Messy bun hat seems to be the in thing at the moment, this pattern
is done in an easy shell stitch design and will crochet up fairly quickly for
you. The yarn used is Lion Brand Vanna’s Choice range in Aqua color, it
is a thicker warmer yarn weight suitable for this type of hat.
