  45 Inches x 3.5 Inches

Hat:      17 Inch Circumference

Materials
I have used:-
80 grams of Stylecraft Special DK in colour 1
40 grams of Stylecraft Special DK in colour 2
40 grams of Stylecraft Special DK in colour 3

5.50mm & 4.50mm Clover crochet hooks

TENSION – 5tr & 2 rows measures approx 1 inch using a 4.50mm hook

Scarf – Using colour 1 and 5.50mm hook make 16ch loosely, work 1dc into 2nd ch from hook, * miss 1ch, 2dc into next ch, * rpt from * to * to last 2ch, miss 1ch, 1dc into last ch. Turn. (14dc)

# Row 2 – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, * miss 1dc, 2dc into next dc, * rpt from * to * to last dc, 1dc into dc. Turn.

Rpt Row 2 until 8 rows have been worked. Fasten off. Turn

Continue to rpt Row 2 in colour sequence as follows:-

# Two rows in colour 2
One row in colour 3
Two rows in colour 2
Eight Rows in colour 1 #

Rpt # to # 13 more times, until 190 rows have been worked from beginning or work measures approx 44 Inches. Turn.

Change to 4.50mm hook.

Border – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to last dc, 3dc into corner, 1dc into each row end down first side of scarf, 3dc into corner, 1dc into each ch along starting ch edge, 3dc into corner, 1dc into each row end up second side of scarf, 1dc into corner, ss to first dc. Fasten of.

Using colour 3 and Clover Pom-Pom maker small (45) make three pom-poms (2 for scarf and 1 for hat)

Finishing – Weave in and trim off all loose ends of yarn, gather each end of scarf and attach a pom-pom.

Pom-Pom Hat – Made in rounds without turning until end of 5th Round

With 4.50mm hook and colour 1, make 6ch, ss to first ch to make a ring. (RS) 3ch, work 12tr into ring, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. (12tr + 3ch)

2nd Round – (Inc Round) 3ch, 1tr into base of 3ch, 2tr into each tr to end, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. (25tr + 3ch)

3rd Round – (Inc Round) 3ch, 1tr into base of 3ch, * 1tr into next tr, 2tr into next tr, * rpt from * to * to last tr, 1tr into last tr, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. (38tr + 3ch)

4th Round – (Inc Round) 3ch, 1tr into base of 3ch, * 1tr into each of next 2tr, 2tr into next tr, * rpt from * to * to last 2tr, 1tr in each of last 2tr, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. (51tr + 3ch)

5th Round – (Inc Round) 3ch, 1tr into base of 3ch, * 1tr into next 3tr, 2tr into next tr, * rpt from * to * to last 3tr, 1tr into each of last 3tr, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. (64tr + 3ch) Turn.

6th Round – (Inc Round) 1ch, 2dc into base of 1ch, * 1dc into next 4tr, 2dc into next tr, * rpt from * to * to last 4tr, 1dc into each of last 4tr, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Fasten off. Turn. (78dc)

Join in colour 2.

Next Round – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, * miss 1dc, 2dc into next dc, * rpt from * to * to last dc, miss dc, ss to first dc. Turn. (77dc)

Pattern Round – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, * miss 1dc, 2dc into next dc, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to first dc. Turn.

Fasten off.

Rpt Pattern Round in colour sequence as follows:-

Once in colour 3
Twice in colour 2
Eight in colour 1
Twice in colour 2
Once in colour 3
Twice in colour 2
Three times in colour 1. Fasten off.

Join in colour 3.

Brim – Working into back loop only for this round, work Pattern Round once. Turn.

Working through both loops from now on, rpt Pattern Round until 10 rounds have been worked in all for brim. Fasten off.

Finishing – Weave in trim off all loose ends of yarn, fold brim onto front of hat, attach pom-pom securely to crown.
