Crochet Ladies Scarf

New crochet ladies scarf pattern, a simple to make design in an easy dc2tog crochet stitch, it’s trendy, warm, cosy and comfortable to wear in Winter or fall.

Abbreviations
RS.       Right Side

ch.       Chain
sc.        Single Crochet
dc.       Double Crochet
rpt.      Repeat
sl st.    Slip Stitch
yo.       Yarn Over
DNT.    Do Not Turn

dc2tog. Leaving last loop of each dc on hook, work 2dc in same space, yo and pull through 3 loops.

Crab Stitch.  Working left to right, work 1sc in each sc backwards.  See Pictorial Here

Base of ch. Work in first stitch

ch3 counts as first dc

Size approx – 4.75 Inches x 60.5 Inches

Materials
I have used:-
80 grams of King Cole big value baby DK in color 1
30 grams of King Cole big value baby DK in color 2

OR an equivalent yarn would be:-
2.85oz of Worsted Weight #3 in color 1
1.05oz of Worsted Weight #3 in color 2
2 decorative buttons

5.00mm Clover Crochet Hook

With color 1 ch236

(RS) 1dc in 4th ch from hook, * ch1, skip 1ch, dc2tog (see abbrev) in next ch, * rpt from * to * to last 2ch, ch1, skip 1ch, 1dc in last ch. Turn. (115, dc2tog)

Pattern Row – ch3, 1dc in first ch1 space, * ch1, skip dc2tog, work dc2tog in next ch1 space, * rpt from * to * to the last ch1 space, dc and ch3 to turn with, ch1, work dc2tog in ch1 space, ch1, skip 1dc, 1dc in top of ch3. Turn.

Rpt Pattern Row until 7 rows have been worked from beginning. Turn.

Border – ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, work 1sc in each ch1 space, dc2tog and dc end, 3sc in corner, 2sc in each row end down first side of scarf, 3sc in corner, 1sc in each ch along starting ch edge, 3sc in corner, 2sc in each row end up second site of scarf, 1sc in corner, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Fasten off. Turn.

Join in color 2, starting with ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, work one row of 1sc in each sc to end, working 3sc in corners. DNT.

Work one row of crab stitch (see abbrev) around all sides of scarf, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Fasten off.

Finishing – Weave in trim off any loose ends of yarn, attach buttons for decoration.
