Crochet Project Square – Ideal to use for coasters or make loads and join them all together to make bags, cushions, blankets, table mats and the list goes on and on lol.

tr2tog.  Leaving last loop of each tr on hook, work 2tr in same space or stitch, yrh and draw through all loops. See pictorial here

tr3tog.  Leaving last loop of each tr on hook, work 3tr in same space or stitch, yrh and draw through all loops.

3ch counts as first tr

Base of ch. Work into first stitch

Approx Finished Size:   4 Inches x 4 Inches

Materials
For great results it is always best to use the recommended yarn I have used:-
Small amounts of Stylecraft Special DK in colours 1 & 2

4.50mm Clover Crochet Hook

Made in rows without turning throughout.

With colour 1 make 8ch, ss to first ch to make a ring, work 3ch, (RS) 15tr into ring, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. Fasten off.

Join in colour 2 with a ss to top of 3ch.

Row 2 – 3ch, tr2tog (see abbrev) into base of 3ch, * make 3ch, miss 1tr, tr3tog (see abbrev) into next tr, * rpt from * to * to last tr, make 3ch, miss tr, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. Fasten off.

May appear to be pulling at this stage, but will flatten out on next 2 rows.

Join in colour 1 with a ss to first 3ch space.

Row 3 – 3ch, 3tr into same 3ch space, * make 3ch, miss tr3tog, work 4tr into next 3ch space, * rpt from * to * to end, make 3ch, miss tr3tog, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. Fasten off.

Join in colour 2 with a ss to first 3ch space.

Row 4 – 3ch, (4tr, 2ch, 5tr) into same space, * miss 4tr, work 5tr into next 3ch space,  miss 4tr, (5tr, 2ch, 5tr) into next 3ch space, * rpt from * to * twice, miss 4tr, 5tr into next 3ch space, miss 4tr, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row.

Fasten off.

Finishing – Weave in and trim off any loose ends of yarn.
