Abbreviations
WS.     Wrong Side

Dec.   Decrease
Pull up loop from each of next 2 stitches, yrh pull through all loops.

Base of ch. Work into first stitch

Approx Finished Size:    10 x 7.5 Inches

Materials
For great results it is always best to use the recommended yarn I have used:-
20 grams of Paintbox Simple DK in colour 1
30 grams of Paintbox Simple DK in colour 2
15 grams of Paintbox Simple DK in colour 3
1 medium decorative button

5.50mm Clover Crochet Hook

TENSION – 4st & 4 rows measures approx 1 inch

With 5.50mm hook and colour 1 make 40ch loosely, (RS) 1dc into 2nd ch from hook,
1dc into each ch to end. Turn. (39dc)

Row 2 – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, * 1htr into next dc, 1dc into next dc, * rpt from * to * to end. Turn. (39st)

Row 3 – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, * 1htr into next htr, 1dc into next dc, * rpt from * to * to end. Turn.

Rpt Row 3 in colour sequence as follows:-

15 rows in colour 1
26 rows in colour 2
10 rows colour 3

Place a different colour marker at the beginning and end of the last row.

Flap – (Dec Row) 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, dec 1dc (see abbrev) over next 2 stitches, work 1htr into each htr and 1dc into each dc in pattern as set until last 3 stitches, dec 1dc over next 2 stitches 1dc into last dc. Turn.

Rpt last row once. Turn. (35st)

Rpt Row 2 eleven more times. Turn.

Buttonhole Row – rpt Row 2 over next 17st, make 2ch, miss 1htr, 1dc into next dc, rpt Row 2 over next 17st. Turn.

Next Row – rpt Row 2 over next 17st, 1htr into 2ch space, 1dc into next dc, rpt Row 2 over next 17st. Fasten off.

Finishing – Fold cover up from the bottom to the markers and with WS facing whip stitch sides together to make a pouch.

Weave in all loose ends of yarn and trim off, turn through to RS, sew on button to front of pouch to correspond with the buttonhole, attach small flower.
