Get ready for the chill of the Fall and Winter with this long chunky cowl, I have made
it in a mixed color yarn, but you can use one shade if you wish, the fpdc & bpdc give
it that chunky look and feel, I have finished it off with an edging of a flurry of shells.
I’m pointing my spotlight on Kathy Lashley from Elk Studio this week for my Designers Corner, Kathy has been crocheting for over 30 years, she is also
an Annie’s instructor and has done an instructional video for left handed
crocheters, check out some of her beautiful designs with the links below.
Make this slanting shells cowl as a treat to yourself to ward off the last few weeks
of Winter, it is a great replacement for a scarf, made in a worsted weight yarn with
a leaning shell design, wear it loose around your neck for style or folded over for
warmth, I have crocheted it in a pretty lilac color, but it would look nice in dark
Pretty shells cowl with buttoned neck which adds to the style, the soft
textured stitch and bulky yarn make it warm and cuddly around your neck
but also very smart when going out. It takes one skein of Red Heart Infinity
yarn to make, so it’s quick and cost effective. Hope you enjoy.
Stunning chevron herringbone cowl, love the zig zag crochet effect on this,
the herringbone stitch creates a fun textured pattern and the tilt makes a
lovely arrow shape, made in bright colours it will compliment any outfit .
