I’m pointing my spotlight on Kathy Lashley from Elk Studio this week for my Designers Corner, Kathy has been crocheting for over 30 years, she is also
an Annie’s instructor and has done an instructional video for left handed
crocheters, check out some of her beautiful designs with the links below.
A warm slouchy hat, worked from the brim to the crown in rounds, this eliminates
sewing seams and gives a nice finish, it’s an easy stitch to memorize and can be
made in a day, I have used buttons to decorate the brim, but this is optional.
Make in the appropriate colors to go with any outfit, there is lots of slouch to put
your hair into on bad hair days. it can be worn by both male or female.
Six cute and playful crochet fox designs, there is something about a foxes cheeky
face, that makes me smile, I’m sure you will find something you like in this
selection of free crochet patterns, they include gloves, bags and hats.
This woodland newborn beanie is perfect for the new arrival, the main part
of the hat is made in an easy double crochet stitch with the folded back brim
crochet in a textured stitch. I have edged in a contrast color with a matching
pom-pom and decorated with an animal motif, but a wooden button would
also look just as good. Add it to any outfit for days out.
This Floppy sun hat is a quick 24 row design, the stitch pattern is part of
the lazy daisy collection, I am looking forward to some warmer days as
this hat is a pick up, put on and go pattern, it can be crocheted in one
color or it will look just a nice in a variegated yarn.
