For great results it is always best to use the recommended yarn I have used:-
40 grams of Stylecraft Special DK in each of the colours 1 & 2
4.00mm & 5.00mm Clover Crochet Hooks
TENSION – 5dc & 6 rows measures approx 1 inch

Make 2 mitts the same.
Cuff – With 4.00mm hook make 15ch, work 1dc into 2nd ch from hook, 1dc into each ch to end. Turn. (14dc)
Next Row – Working into blo, (see abbrev) work 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end. Turn.
Rpt last row until 28 rows have been worked in all.
Fold work in half (from bottom to top) so that the short sides of both ends are lined up, using 5.00mm hook ss along through both sides of work to make a round.
Continuing with 5.00mm hook from now on, turn your work on to the side so you are working into the row ends.
Row 1 – 1ch, work 1dc into each of next 28 row ends to end, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn. (28dc)
Row 2 – (Eyelet Row) – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, * make 2ch, miss 1dc, 1dc into each of next 2dc, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn. (9, 2ch spaces)
Row 3 – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc and 2ch space to end, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn. (28dc)
Row 4 – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn.
Row 5 – Rpt Row 4. Turn.
Row 6 – (Inc Row) 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each of next 11dc, 2dc into next dc, 1dc into next 2dc, 2dc into next dc, 1dc into each of next 12dc, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn. (30dc)

Using colour 2, slip stitching and turning at the end of each row, work 10 more rows of dc on these 28dc. Fasten off. Turn.
Using colour 1, slip stitching and turning at the end of each row work 2 more rows of dc. Turn.

Row 26 – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, dec 1dc over next 2dc, 1dc into each of next 6dc, dec 1dc over next 2dc, 1dc into each of next 2dc, dec 1dc over next 2dc, 1dc into each of next 6dc, dec 1dc over next 2dc, 1dc into last dc, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn. (20dc)

Row 28 – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, dec 1dc over next 2dc, 1dc into each of next 2dc, dec 1dc over next 2dc, 1dc into each of next 2dc, dec 1dc over next 2dc, 1dc into each of next 2dc, dec 1dc over next 2dc, 1dc into last dc, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn. (12dc)
Row 29 – 1ch, dec 1dc over next 2dc, (6 times) ss to the first dc on beginning of row. Fasten off leaving enough yarn to gather top of mitt. (6dc)
Thumb – Rejoin colour 2 to the first of the 12dc you missed earlier, make 1ch, work 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each of next 11dc, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn.
Slip stitching and turning at the end of each row, work 8 more rows of 1dc into each dc on these 12dc. Fasten off. Turn.
Join in colour 1, ss and turning at the end of each row work 2 more rows in dc. Fasten off leaving enough yarn to gather top of thumb.
Chain Ties x 2 – Using a 4.00mm hook and colour 2 yarn, make 75ch. Fasten off.
Using colour 2 make 4 pom-pom’s I used Clover Pom-Pom maker number 20
Finishing – Close small gap at base of thumb, gather top of thumb and top of mitt, weave in any loose ends of yarn and trim off. Turn through to right side, working from the center on the front of mitt, thread chain tie through eyelet holes around top of cuff, attach a pom-pom to each end and tie in a bow.
