3ch counts as first tr
Approx Finished Size: 10 x 1.5 inches (excluding tassel)
Materials
For great results it is always best to use the recommended yarn, I have used approximately:-
Small amounts of Stylecraft Special DK yarn
4.00mm crochet hook

UK INSTRUCTIONS:
Made in multiples of 5 + 4.
Make 49ch loosely, work 1tr into 4th ch from hook, * make 3ch, miss 3ch, work 1tr into each if next 2ch, * rpt from * to * to end. Turn.
2nd Row – 3ch, (RS) work 5tr into each 3ch space to end, 1tr into top of 3tch. Turn. Fasten off.
With RS facing join yarn to starting chain edge, rpt 2nd Row to last tr, work 1tr into tr. Fasten off.
Tassel – Cut 5 lengths of yarn approx 10 inches long (or your required length)
Finishing – Weave in and trim off any loose ends of yarn, fold the tassel lengths in half, with RS of bookmark facing thread the open ends through the centre of a row end, pull the tassel ends through the loop you have created and tighten to secure. Trim tassel to make even.
