Size to fit approx: 2.5 Inches diameter base drinking glass.
Materials
For great results it is always best to use the recommended yarn, I have used approximately:-
10 grams of King Cole Cottonsoft DK in color 1
5 grams of King Cole Cottonsoft DK in color 2
An equivalent yarn would be a light worsted #3 cotton
GAUGE – 4dc & 2 rows measures approx 1 inch

Worked in rounds without turning until the end of 4th Round.
Make a magic circle, work ch2, (RS) 13dc in circle, pull loose thread to close, skip ch2, sl st to first dc on beginning of row. (13dc)
2nd Round – ch2, 2dc in base of ch2, 2dc in each dc to end, skip 2tch, sl st to first dc on beginning of round. (26dc)
3rd Round – ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each dc to end, sl st to first sc on beginning of round. (26sc)
4th Round – Working in back loop only for this round work ch2, 1dc in base of ch2, 1dc in each sc to end, skip 2tch, sl st to first dc on beginning of round. Turn
Fasten off. Join in color 2.
5th Round – Working through both loops of the stitch from now on, ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, * ch3, skip 2dc, 1sc in next dc, * rpt from * to * to last dc, ch3, skip dc, sl st to first sc on beginning of round. Turn. (9, ch3 spaces)
6th Round – ch3, 2dc in base of ch3, * 1sc in ch3 space, 3dc in next sc, * rpt from * to * to last ch3 space, work 1sc in ch3 space, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of round. Turn. (9, 3dc groups)
Fasten off. Join in color 1.
7th Round – ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, ch3, skip (1sc and 1dc), * work 1sc in centre dc of 3dc group, ch3, skip (1dc, 1sc, 1dc) * rpt from * to * to last (3dc group, sc, 2dc) 1sc in centre dc on 3dc group, ch3, skip (dc, sc, 2dc) sl st to first sc on beginning of round. Turn.
8th Round – ch3, 2dc in base of ch3, * 1sc in ch3 space, 3dc in next sc, * rpt from * to * to last ch3 space, work 1sc in ch3 space, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of round. Turn.
Fasten off. Join in color 2.
Rpt the 7th and 8th Rounds changing color every 2 rows until 6 complete patterns have been worked or you have 14 rows worked from beginning.
Fasten off.
Finishing – Weave in and trim off all loose ends of yarn.
