Tumbler Jacket

This tumbler jacket is an ideal accompaniment to your tumbler glasses, protect your hands from cold drinks, make a set in different colors to personalize individual family members own tumblers, you can also make a set and give as a gift to friends or to sell.

They are easy to crochet and are made in soft 100% cotton Worsted Weight #3 yarn on a 5.00mm hook, approximate size is to fit a 2.5 inch diameter tumbler glass.tumbler jacket

Base of ch. Work in first stitch

Size to fit approx:  2.5 Inches diameter (tumbler base)

Materials
I have used:-
10 grams of King Cole Cottonsoft DK

OR an equivalent yarn would be:-
0.35oz of Worsted Weight #3 Cotton Yarn

5.00mm Clover crochet hook

Worked in rounds without turning until the end of Round 3.

ch6, sl st to first ch to form a ring.

ch2, (RS) work 13dc in ring, skip 2ch, sl st to first dc on beginning of row. (13dc)

Round 2 – 2ch, 2dc in base of 2ch, 2dc in each dc to end, skip 2ch, sl st to first dc on beginning of round. (26dc)

Round 3 – Working in back loop only for this round ch2, work 1dc in base of 2ch, 1dc in each dc to end, skip ch2, sl st to first dc on beginning of round. Turn

Round 4 – Working through both loops from now on ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, work 1sc in each dc to end, sl st to first sc on beginning of round. Turn.

Round 5 – 2ch, 1dc in base of 2ch, * ch1, skip 1sc, 1dc in next sc, * rpt from * to * to last sc, ch1, skip sc and 2ch, sl st to first dc on the beginning of row. Turn. (13dc and 13, ch1 spaces)

Round 6 – ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, work 1sc in each ch1 space and dc to end, sl st to first sc on beginning of round. Turn. (26sc)

Rpt Rounds 5 & 6 twice. Fasten off. You can add more rows here if you wish.

Finishing – Weave in all loose ends and trim.
