Made using a 4.00mm and 5.00mm crochet hooks and light worsted 100% cotton yarn (Double Knitting yarn for UK crocheters)

To Fit Approx:-  Average size toilet tissue roll

Materials
For great results it is always best to use the recommended yarn, I have used approximately:-

20 grams of Paintbox 100% Cotton DK in color 1
25 grams of Paintbox 100% Cotton DK in color 2

An equivalent yarn would be a light worsted #3 100% cotton

4.00mm & 5.00mm Clover crochet hooks, ribbon rosebuds for decoration.

GAUGE – 5sc & 4 rows of sc measures approx 1 inch on 5.00mm hook

Top – Made in rounds without turning until the end of 4th Round.

With color 1 make a magic circle, ch3, work 13dc in circle, pull loose thread to close circle, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of round. (13dc + ch3)

2nd Round – (Inc) ch3, 1dc in base of ch3, 2dc in each of next 13dc, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of row. (27dc + ch3)

3rd Round – (Inc) ch3, 1dc in base of ch3, 1dc in next dc, * 2dc in next dc, 1dc in next dc, * rpt from * to * to end, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of row. (41dc + ch3) 

4th Round – (Inc) ch3, 1dc in base of ch3, 1dc in each of next 2dc, * 2dc in next dc, 1dc in each of next 2dc, * rpt from * to * to end, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of row. Turn. (55dc + ch3)

5th Round – ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each dc to end, sl st to first sc on beginning of round. (56sc)

Fasten off.

Side – With color 2 and 5.00mm hook ch17, 1sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1sc in each ch to end. Turn. (16sc)

Pattern Row – Working in BLO (see abbrev) for the row ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc to end. Turn.

Rpt Pattern Row until 56 rows have been worked in all.

Fold so short sides line up, working through both pieces, ch1, sl st in each stitch across to join and make a round.

Fasten off. Join in color 1.

Working in row ends around the side of your work, ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each row end to end, sl st to first sc on the beginning of row. Turn. (56sc)

Next Row – ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc to end.

Fasten off.

Joining Top to Side – Using color 1 and 5.00mm hook, work 1sc through each sc from top and each row end from side around to end, sl st to first sc on beginning on round. Turn. (56sc)

Next Row – (Inc) ch1, 2sc in base of ch1, * 1sc in each of next 2sc, 2sc in next sc, * rpt from * to * to last sc, 1sc in sc, sl st to first sc on beginning of round.

Fasten off.

Flower Motif – Make one in each color.

Finishing – Weave in and trim off all loose ends of yarn, sew a flower motif of opposite colors to the front and the top of the toilet cover and decorate with a ribbon rosebud (optional)

Side – With colour 2 and 5.00mm hook make 17ch, 1dc into 2nd ch from hook, 1dc into each ch to end. Turn. (16dc)

Pattern Row – Working into BLO (see abbrev) for the row make 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end. Turn.

Rpt Pattern Row until 56 rows have been worked in all.
