Base of ch. Work into first stitch

Finished size approx:-  3.25 Inches wide x 5 Inches long

Materials
For great results it is always best to use the recommended yarn, I have used approximately:-

20 grams of Paintbox 100% Cotton DK in colour 1
20 grams of Paintbox 100% Cotton DK in colour 2

4.00mm Clover crochet hook, ribbon rosebud for decoration

TENSION – 5dc and 6 rows of dc measures approx 1 inch

With colour 1 make 12ch, 3dc into 2nd ch from hook, 1dc into each of next 9ch, 6dc into next ch, working on opposite side of cast on ch, work 1dc into each of next 9dc, 3dc into last ch, ss to first dc. Turn.(30dc)

Pattern Row – Working into BLO (see abbrev) for the row make 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end, ss to first dc. Turn.

Rpt Pattern Row 10 more times.

Fasten off. Join in colour 2.

Rpt the Pattern Row 8 more times, making 20 rows in all from the beginning. Turn.

Eyelet Row – Working into BLO for the row make 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into next dc, * make 2ch, miss 1dc, 1dc into each of next 2dc, * rpt from * to * to last dc, make 2ch, miss last dc, ss to first dc. Turn.

Next Row – Working into BLO of the dc’s make 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each 2ch space and each dc to end, ss to first dc. Turn.

Rpt Pattern Row twice more. Fasten off.

Chain Tie – With colour 2 make 60ch, work ss into 2nd ch from hook, ss into each ch to end.

Fasten off.

Finishing – Sew in and tie off all loose ends, thread chain tie through eyelet holes, gather and tie into a bow.

Flower Motif – With colour 2 make a magic circle, 1ch, work 12dc into circle, pull loose thread to close circle, ss to first dc. Turn.

Next Row – 1ch, ss into base of 1ch, * 4tr into next dc, ss into next dc, * rpt from * to * to last dc, work 4tr into last dc, ss to first ss. Fasten off. (6, 4tr groups)

Finishing – Sew in and tie off loose ends, sew flower motif to front of saver and decorate with a ribbon rosebud (optional)

An equivalent yarn would be a light worsted #3 100% cotton
