ch.     Chain
dc.     Double Crochet
tr.      Treble Crochet
rpt.    Repeat

ss.      Slip Stitch

Base of ch. Work into first stitch

Approx Finished Size:   5.2 x 2.75 Inches

Materials
For great results it is always best to use the recommended yarn, I have used approximately:-

Small amounts of Red Heart Scrubby Smoothie in colours 1 & 2

An equivalent yarn would be an Aran weight cotton

5.50mm Clover crochet Hook

Made in multiples of 2.

With colour 1 make 6ch, 3dc into 2nd ch from hook, 1dc into each of next 3ch, 6dc into next ch, working on opposite side of cast on ch, work 1dc into each of next 3ch, 3dc into last ch, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn. (18dc)

2nd Row – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, * 1tr into next dc, 1dc into next dc, * rpt from * to * to last dc, work 1tr in dc, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn.

3rd Row – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each tr and dc to end, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn. Fasten off.

Join in colour 2 and rpt 2nd & 3rd Rows until 15 rows have been worked in all from beginning. Turn. Fasten off.

Eyelet Row – Join in colour 1 make 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into next dc, * make 2ch, miss 1dc, 1dc into each of next 2dc, * rpt from * to * to last dc, make 2ch, miss last dc, ss to first dc. Turn.

Next Row – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each 2ch space and each dc to end, ss to first dc. Turn.

Rpt 2nd & 3rd Row. Fasten off.

Chain Tie – With colour 2 make 60ch. Fasten off.

Finishing – Weave in and trim off any loose ends of yarn, thread chain tie through eyelet holes and tie to the front of the holder.
