Materials
For great results it is always best to use the recommended yarn, I have used approximately:-

100 grams of Paintbox Simply DK in colour 1
50 grams of Stylecraft Special DK in colour 2

3.50mm Clover crochet hook, 4 medium buttons

TENSION – 6tr & 3 rows of tr measures approx 1 Inch

Worked in one piece starting with yoke.

 Using colour 1, make 65ch, (RS) 1tr into 4th ch from hook, 1tr into the next 7ch, (front) 3tr into next ch, 1tr into next 10ch, (shoulder) 3tr into next ch, 1tr into the next 21ch, (back) 3tr into next ch, 1tr into the next 10ch, (shoulder) 3tr into next ch, 1tr into the next 9ch. (front) Turn. (70tr + 3ch)

2nd Row – 3ch, * 1tr into each tr to 3tr group, 1tr into next tr, 3tr into centre tr on 3tr group, * rpt from * to * to last 3tr group, 1tr into next tr, 3tr into centre tr on 3tr group, 1tr into each tr to end, 1tr into top of 3ch. Turn. (78tr + 3ch)

Fasten off. Join in colour 2. 

3rd to 10th Row – Make 3ch, * 1tr into each tr to 3tr group, 1tr into next tr, 3tr into centre tr on 3tr group, * rpt from * to * to last 3tr group, 1tr into next tr, 3tr into centre tr on 3tr group, 1tr into each tr to end, 1tr into top of 3ch. Turn.

You should have 142tr + 3ch.

Fasten off. Join in colour 1.

11th & 12th Rows – Rpt 2nd Row. Turn. (158tr + 3ch)

13th Row – (Divide for armholes & Inc) – 3ch, 1tr into next tr, * 2tr into next tr, 1tr into each of next 2tr, * rpt from * to * to 3tr group on corner, 2tr into next tr, 1tr into centre tr on corner, miss 34tr, 1tr into centre tr of 3tr group on next corner, rpt from * to * to centre tr on next corner, 2tr into centre tr, miss 34tr, 1tr into centre tr of next corner, 1tr into next tr, rpt from * to * to last tr and 3tch, 2tr into tr, 1tr into top of 3ch. Turn. (120tr + 3ch)

Commence Skirt – (WS) 3ch, 1tr into each of next 2tr, * 2ch, miss 1tr, 1tr into each of next 5tr,* rpt from * to * to last 3tr and 3tch, work 2ch, miss 1tr, 1tr into each of next 2tr, 1tr into top of 3ch. Turn. (19, 5tr blocks plus 2 half blocks at each end)

15th Row – 3ch, miss first 2tr, * 6tr into 2ch space, miss 2tr, fpdtr (see abbrev) around next tr, miss next 2tr, * rpt from * to * to last 2ch space, 2tr and 3tch, miss 2tr, 6tr into 2ch space, miss 2tr, 1tr into top of 3ch. Turn. (20, 6tr groups)

16th Row – 3ch, 1tr into each of next 2tr, * 2ch, miss 2tr, 1tr into each of next 2tr, bpdtr (see abbrev) around next dtr, 1tr into each of next 2tr, * rpt from * to * to last 4tr and 3tch, 2ch, miss 2tr, 1tr into each of next 2tr, 1tr into top of 3ch. Turn. (19, blocks plus 2 half blocks at each end)

17th Row – 3ch, miss first 2tr, * 6tr into 2ch space, miss 2tr, 1fpdtr around next dtr, miss next 2tr, * rpt from * to * to last 2ch space, 2tr and 3tch, 6tr into 2ch space, miss 2tr, 1tr into top of 3ch. Turn. (20, 6tr groups)

Rpt 16th & 17th Rows until seven complete patterns have been worked from yoke or your work measures from shoulder approx 12 inches.

Fasten off. Join in colour 2.

Rpt 16th & 17th Rows once.

Fasten off.

Buttonhole Band – With WS facing and colour 2, start at neck edge on right hand side and working down front edge to bottom of jacket, work 2dc into each row end to end. Turn. (59dc)

Next Row – (Buttonholes) 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each of next 32dc, * 2ch, miss 1dc, 1dc into next 7dc, * rpt from * to * twice more, 2ch, miss 1dc, 1dc into last 2dc. Turn. (4 buttonholes made) Fasten off.

Button Band – With WS facing, join colour 2 to bottom of jacket on left hand side, working up front edge towards neck, work 2dc into row ends evenly along. Turn. (59dc)

Starting with 1ch work one more row of dc on these stitches. Turn.

Next Row – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to neck edge, 3dc into corner, 1dc into dc row end, 1dc into each ch around neck, 1dc into dc row end, 3dc into corner, 1dc into each dc and 2ch space to end.

Fasten off.

Finishing – Weave in and trim off any loose threads of yarn, turn through to RS side, sew on buttons to correspond with buttonholes.

Flower Motif

Made in rounds without turning.

With colour 1 make 5ch, ss to first ch to form a ring, work 1ch, 12dc into ring, ss to first dc. Fasten off.

Second Row – Join in colour 2 with a ss, * make 10ch, miss 1dc, ss into next dc, * rpt from * to * to last dc, make 10ch, miss last dc, ss to first ss. (6, 10ch spaces)

Third Row – * ss into 10ch space, work (3ch, 5tr, 2ch, 6tr) into same space, ss to next ss, * rpt from * to * to end. (6 petals)

Fasten off.

Finishing – Weave in and trim off any loose threads of yarn, attach flower to coat.
