Abbreviations
RS.       Right Side

ch.       Chain
dc.       Double Crochet
tr.        Treble Crochet
rpt.      Repeat
ss.        Slip Stitch
yrh.     Yarn Round Hook
DNT.    Do Not Turn

tr2tog. Leaving last loop of each tr on hook, work 2tr into same space, yrh and pull through 3 loops.

Crab Stitch.   Working from left to right, work 1dc into each dc backwards.  See Pictorial Here

Base of ch. Work into first stitch

3ch counts as first tr

Size approx– 4.75 Inches x 60.5 Inches

Materials
I have used:-
80 grams of King Cole big value baby DK in colour 1
30 grams of King Cole Big Value Baby DK in colour 2
2 decorative buttons

5.00mm Clover Crochet Hook

With colour 1 make 236ch

(RS) 1tr into 4th ch from hook, * make 1ch, miss 1ch, tr2tog (see abbrev) into next ch, * rpt from * to * to last 2ch, make 1ch, miss 1ch, 1tr into last ch. Turn. (115, tr2tog)

Pattern Row – 3ch, 1tr into first 1ch space, * make 1ch, miss tr2tog, work tr2tog into next 1ch space, * rpt from * to * to the last 1ch space, tr and 3ch to turn with, make 1ch, work tr2tog into 1ch space, make 1ch, miss 1tr, 1tr into top of 3ch. Turn.

Rpt Pattern Row until 7 rows have been worked from beginning. Turn.

Border – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, work 1dc into each 1ch space, tr2tog and tr end, 3dc into corner, 2dc into each row end down first side of scarf, 3dc into corner, 1dc into each ch along starting ch edge, 3dc into corner, 2dc into each row end up second site of scarf, 1dc into corner, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Fasten off. Turn.

Join in colour 2, starting with 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, work one row of 1dc into each dc to end, working 3dc into corners. DNT.

Work one row of crab stitch (see abbrev) around all sides of scarf, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Fasten off.

Finishing – Weave in trim off any loose ends of yarn, attach buttons for decoration.
