Materials
For great results it is always best to use the recommended yarn, I have used approximately:- for 4 coasters
50 grams of King Cole Cottonsoft DK yarn in colour 1
Small amounts of King Cole Cottonsoft DK in colours 2 & 3
4.00mm crochet hook
TENSION – 5tr’s and 2.5 rows measures approx 1 Inch

Worked in rounds without turning throughout.
(RS) With colour 1 make 8ch, join to first ch with a ss to form a ring, 3ch, (1tr, 2ch) into ring, * work 4tr, 2ch into ring * rpt from * to * twice more, 2tr into ring, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row.
2nd Row – 3ch, * 1tr into next tr, * (2tr, 2ch, 2tr) into 2ch space (corner), 1tr into each of next 4tr, * rpt from * to * twice more, (2tr, 2ch, 2tr) into next 2ch space, 1tr into each of last 2tr, ss to top of 3ch. Fasten off.
3rd Row – Join in colour 2 to top of 3ch on previous row, make 2ch, * 1htr into each of next 3tr, * (2htr, 2ch, 2htr) into 2ch space, 1htr into each of next 8tr, * rpt from * to * twice more, (2htr, 2ch, 2htr) into 2ch space, 1htr into each of last 4tr, ss to top of 2ch on beginning of row. Fasten off.
4th Row – Join in colour 3 to top of 2ch on previous row, work 3ch, * 1tr into each of next 5htr, * (2tr, 2ch, 2tr) into 2ch space, 1tr into each of next 12htr, * rpt from * to * twice more, (2tr, 2ch, 2tr) into 2ch space, 1tr into each of last 6htr, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. Fasten off.
5th Row – Join in colour 2 to top of 3ch on previous row, make 2ch, * 1htr into each of next 7tr, * (2htr, 2ch, 2htr) into 2ch space, 1htr into each of next 16htr, * rpt from * to * twice more, (2htr, 2ch, 2htr) into 2ch space, 1tr into each of last 8htr, ss to top of 2ch on beginning of row. Fasten off.
6th Row – Join colour 1 to any corner (2ch space), work 1ch, (1dc, 3tr, 1dc) into same space, * miss 2htr, work 1 group (see abbrev) into next st, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Fasten off.
Finishing – Weave in and trim off any loose ends of yarn.
