Approx Finished Size: 5 Inch Diameter
Materials
For great results it is always best to use the recommended yarn, I have used:-
Small amounts of King Cole Comfort Aran in each of the colours 1 & 2 (per coaster)

Made in rounds without turning throughout.
With colour 1 make a magic circle, Work 1ch, 12dc into circle, pull loose thread to close circle, ss to first dc on beginning of round. (12dc)
2nd Round – 3ch, 1tr into base of 3ch, 2tr into each tr to end, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of round. (23tr + 3ch)
3rd Round – 3ch, 2tr into base of 3ch, miss 1tr, * 3tr into next tr, miss 1tr, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of round. Fasten off. (12, 3tr groups)
4th Round – Join in colour 2 with a ss to any space between 3tr groups, make 3ch, work 2tr into same space, * make 1ch, miss 3tr, work 3tr into next space, * rpt from * to * to last 3tr, make 1ch, miss 3tr, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. (12, 3tr groups + 12, 1ch spaces)
5th Round – ss to first tr, make 3ch, work 4tr into same tr, * miss 1tr, ss to next 1ch space, miss 1tr, 5tr into next tr, * rpt from * to * to last tr and 1ch space, miss 1tr, ss into next 1ch space, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of round. Fasten off.
Finishing – Weave in trim off any loose ends of yarn.
