Lacy Scoops Crochet Doily – The edge on this doily is designed with a looped effect.
Experiment with different colours or crochet it in plain white it will look exquisite every time.

Crochet it in just 12 rounds, I have used a light worsted (DK) cotton yarn, but you can use any yarn in the same ply.
The peaked edge gives it a softer more delicate look.

With colour 1 make magic circle, work 3ch, 1tr, 1ch into ring, then (2tr, 1ch) into ring seven times, ss to top of 3tch on beginning of round. (15tr, 8, 1ch spaces + 3ch)
2nd Round – ss to first 1ch space, make 3ch, work 1tr, 1ch, 2tr into same 1ch space, * miss 2tr, work (2tr, 1ch, 2tr) into next 1ch space, * rpt from * to * to end, miss 2tr, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of round.(31tr, 8, 1ch spaces + 3ch)
3rd Round – ss to first 1ch space, make 3ch, work 2tr, 1ch, 3tr into same 1ch space, * miss 4tr, work (3tr, 1ch, 3tr) into next 1ch space, * rpt from * to * to end, miss 4tr, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of round. (47tr, 8, 1ch spaces + 3ch)
4th Round – ss to first 1ch space, make 3ch, work 3tr, 1ch, 4tr into same 1ch space, * miss 6tr, work (4tr, 1ch, 4tr) into next 1ch space, * rpt * to * to end, miss 6tr, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of round. Fasten off. (63tr, 8, 1ch spaces + 3ch)
5th Round – Join colour 2 to any 1ch space, make 1ch, work 1dc into same 1ch space, * make 4ch, miss 4tr, work 1tr into space between next 4tr, make 4ch, miss 4tr, 1dc into next 1ch space, * rpt from * to * to last 8tr, make 4ch, miss 4tr, work 1tr into space between next 4tr, make 4ch, miss 4tr, ss to first dc on beginning of round.
6th Round – 3ch, work 5tr onto each 4ch space and 1tr into each tr and dc to end, ss to top of 3tch on beginning of round. (95tr + 3ch)

9th Round – Rpt 7th Round. (72, 1ch spaces)
10th Round – 3ch, work 1tr into each 1ch space and tr to end, ss to top of 3tch on beginning of round. Fasten off. (143tr + 3ch)
