* yrh insert in stitch and pull up long loop, * rpt from * to * twice, yrh pull through 6 loops, yrh pull through 2 loops.
ps Group. (1ps, 3ch, 1ps, 3ch, 1ps) into next space or stitch.

Make a chain length loosely in multiples of 8 + 4.
1st Row – Work (1ps, 3ch, 1ps, 3ch, 1ps) into 8th ch from hook, * make 1ch, miss 3ch, 1tr into next ch, make 1ch, miss 3ch, (1ps, 3ch, 1ps, 3ch, 1ps) into next ch, * rpt from * to * to last 4ch, miss 3ch, 1tr into last ch. Turn. (see abbrev for ps)
2nd Row – 4ch, miss 1ch and 1ps, * 1dc into next 3ch space, make 3ch, 1dc into next 3ch space, make 1ch, work 1tr into next tr, make 1ch, * rpt from * to end working last tr into 7th of 8ch. Turn.
3rd Row – 4ch, * miss 1ch and dc, work (1ps, 3ch, 1ps, 3ch, 1ps) into next 3ch space, make 1ch, miss 1dc and 1ch, 1tr into next tr, * rpt from * to * to end, working last tr into 3rd of 4ch. Turn.
