Crab Stitch. Working left to right work 1dc in each dc backwards.

Base of ch. Work into first stitch

3ch counts as first tr

I have used:-
200 grams of Stylecraft Special DK in colour 1
15 grams of Stylecraft Special DK in contrast colours 2 & 3

5.50mm crochet hook
One 15 x 15 Inch Cushion Form

TENSION – 5tr & 3 rows measures approx 1 inch

Made in Multiples of 3 stitches

Tip:  Crochet over loose ends of yarn and trim off excess as you go.

Make 2 pieces – Using color 1, make 66ch, (RS) 1tr into 4th ch from hook, 1tr into each ch to end. Fasten off. Turn. (63tr + 3ch)

Pattern Row 1 – Join in contrast colour, make 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, * 2ch, miss 2tr, 1dc in next tr, * rpt from * to * to end, working last dc in top of 3ch. Fasten off. Turn.

Pattern Row 2 – Rejoin colour 1, make 3ch, work * 2tr into next 2ch space, 1tr in next dc, * rpt from * to * to end. Fasten off. Turn.

Rpt Pattern Rows 1 & 2 alternating the contrast colours 1 & 2 on Pattern Row 1 until 43 rows have been worked in all or measures approx 15.5 Inches.

Joining & Piped Edging With RS facing of each piece, working through the both layers, make 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, * work 64dc evenly into row ends down first side, 3dc into corner, 1dc into each ch along starting edge, 64dc evenly into row ends up second side, insert the cushion form and continue to work 1dc into each tr to end to close, 1dc into corner, ss to first dc on beginning of row. DNT.

Work 1 row of crab stitch (see abbrev) around cushion cover to end, ss to first dc. Fasten off.
