Ribbed Boot Cuffs

These ribbed boot cuffs will become your friendly accessory during those cooler months.

I’ve written the pattern in easy to crochet stitches for everyone to enjoy, whether you are a beginner crocheter or not, they are quick to make and great for creating your own style.

Make in warm Autumn/Winter colors or if you want to stand out from the crowd crochet them in bright vibrant colors.

Ribbed Boot Cuffs

RS.     Right Side

st.      Stitch(es)
ch.     Chain
sc.      Single Crochet
hdc.   Half Double Crochet

rpt.    Repeat
sl st.  Slip Stitch

Base of ch. Work in first stitch

Size approx: 15 Inches circumference x 6 Inches long

Materials
I have used:-
80 grams of King Cole Big Value DK Yarn

OR an equivalent yarn would be:-
3oz of Worsted Weight #3

4.00mm Clover crochet hook, 4 wooden buttons

GAUGE – 4hdc & 3.5 rows measures approx 1 inch

INSTRUCTIONS:

Top
ch11, 1sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1sc in each ch to end. Turn. (10sc)

Next Row – Working in back loop of stitch only ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc to end. Turn.

Rpt last row until 68 rows have been worked in all from beginning or work measures approx 15 Inches. Turn.

Fold in half bottom to top and slip stitch cast-on edge and last row of sc’s together to form a circle. Do not Fasten off.

Turn through to RS.

Working in row ends around the circle, (RS) ch1, 1sc in each row end to end. Place a colored marker between the stitches. (68sc)

Bottom
From now on you work in continuous rounds and through both loops. So as you know where you started and finished the round move the colored marker to the next round each time you reach it.

Work * 1hdc in each st to the marker * (68hdc)

Rpt from * to * until 14 hdc rounds have been worked in all or work measures approx 6 Inches from beginning, sl st to next hdc at the end of round 14. Fasten off.

Repeat Instructions the same for the second boot cuff.

Finishing – Weave in any loose ends and trim off. Attach 2 wooden buttons to each boot cuff for decoration.
