Peaked Top Clutch Purse

Peaked Top Clutch Purse – Made in a glitzy, shiny yarn, you can crochet this clutch purse in colors to suit your outfit for a night out, it measures approximately 7 inches by 5 inches when finished, but you can use a larger hook to make it bigger if you wish.

Group.    (2sc, ch2, 2sc,) in same space or stitch.

Base of ch. Work in first stitch.

Approx Finished Size:   7 Inches wide x 5 Inches High

Materials
For great results it is always best to use the recommended yarn, I have used approximately:-

25 grams of King Cole Glitz DK in color 1
15 grams of King Cole Glitz DK in color 2

An equivalent yarn would be a light worsted #3

5.00mm Clover crochet hook, decorative button

GAUGE – 1.5 groups & 3 rows measures approx 1 inch

Made in rows without turning until the end of the 3rd Row.

With color 1, ch29, 2sc in 2nd ch from hook, (RS) 1sc in each of next 26ch, 4sc in last ch, working on opposite side of starting ch, work 1sc in each of next 26sc, 2sc in last sc, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. (60sc)

2nd Row – ch1, 2sc in base of ch1, 2sc in next sc, 1sc in each of next 26sc, 2sc in each of next 4sc, 1sc in each of next 26sc, 2sc in each of last 2sc, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. (68sc)

3rd Row – ch1, (2sc, ch2, 2sc) in base of ch1, * skip 2sc, (2sc, ch2, 2sc) in next sc, *rpt from * to * to last sc, skip sc, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Turn. (23 groups)

4th Row – sl st along to first ch2 space, work (ch1, 2sc, ch2, 2sc) in same ch2 space, work (2sc, ch2, 2sc) in each ch2 space to end, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Turn.

Rpt 4th Row until you have 11 rows worked.

Change to color 2 and rpt 4th Row five more times.

You should have 18 rows worked in all from beginning or your work measures approx 5 inches.

Fasten off.

Bow – ch50. Fasten off. 

Finishing – Weave in all loose ends and trim, attach button to the inside of the back in the centre and fasten through the stitches on the front of the purse, thread chain tie through the stitches on the front of the purse and make a bow.

4th Row – ss along to first 2ch space, work (1ch, 2dc, 2ch, 2dc) into same 2ch space, work (2dc, 2ch, 2dc) into each 2ch space to end, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn.

Rpt 4th Row until you have 11 rows worked.

Change to colour 2 and rpt 4th Row five more times.

You should have 18 rows worked in all from beginning or your work measures approx 5 inches.

Bow – Make 50ch. Fasten off.
