Clutch Purse – It is functional and made in an easy stitch, so is ideal if you are just starting out or a beginner.
There is only a small amount of sewing involved, you can crochet it up very quickly (I made it in a morning), make the main part of the purse in one solid color and the flap in a different color to match your outfit.

Materials
I have used approx:-
40 grams of Lion Brand Vanna’s Choice in colour 1
10 grams of Lion Brand Vanna’s Choice in colour 2
OR an equivalent yarn i.e
1.5oz of Worsted Weight #4 in color 1
0.35oz of Worsted Weight #4 in color 2
6.50mm crochet hook, one decorative button
TENSION – 3htr & 2.5 rows of htr’s measures approx 1 inch

Purse – With colour 1 make 27ch loosely, 1htr into 2nd ch from hook, 1htr into each ch to end. Turn. (26htr)
Starting with 1ch, 1htr into base of htr and turning at the end of each row, work 23 more rows of 1htr into each htr to end. Fasten off.
Flap – Join in colour 2, working into back loop of stitch, make 1ch, 1htr into base of 1ch, 1htr into each htr to end. Turn.
Working through both loops of stitch from now on rpt last row 5 more times. Fasten off.
Button Loop – Miss 12htr, rejoin colour 2 to next htr, work 1ch, 2dc into same htr, make 3ch, 2dc into next htr. Fasten off.
Finishing – With WS facing fold up purse from starting chain row to 1 row below flap, whip stitch each side together, weave in all loose ends of yarn and trim. Turn through to RS, attach button to front of purse to correspond with button loop, fold flap over and fasten button through loop.
