Materials
For great results it is always best to use the recommended yarn, I have used approximately:-
100 grams of King Cole Comfort Aran yarn in colour 1
Small amount of King Cole Comfort Aran yarn in colour 2
5.00mm & 4.00mm crochet hooks
2 round approx 5 inch diameter bag handles
TENSION – 4dc & 6 rows measures approx 1 inch

With 5.00mm hook make 63ch loosely, (RS) work 1dc into 2nd ch from hook, 1dc into each ch to end. Turn. (62dc)
2nd Row – Working through BLO, make 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end. Turn.
Rpt 2nd Row twice. Fasten off.
Rpt 2nd Row in colour sequence as follows:-
# Twice in colour 2
Four times in colour 1 #
Rpt from # to # until 58 rows have been worked in all. Fasten off
With WS facing fold work in half widthways, (see pics) whip stitch each side together. Turn through to RS.
Border & Bag Handles – Using 4.00mm hook, join colour 1 to one of the sewn seams, (see pic) working into row ends along top of the bag, work 100dc evenly along to end, ss to first dc on beginning of round. Turn. (100dc)
Starting with 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, work 3 more rounds of 1dc into each dc to end, slip stitching to first dc on the end of each round.
Bag Handle Round – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each of next 19dc, working through the dc’s and around the first handle at the same time, work 1dc into each of the next 10dc, working through just the dc’s work 1dc into each of next 40dc, work 10dc through the dc and around the second handle, work 1dc into each of the next 20dc, ss to first dc on beginning of round. Fasten off.
Finishing – Weave in and trim off any loose ends of yarn. Decorate with a flower or a brooch.
