Base of ch. Work into first stitch

Finished size approx: 2.75 x 5 Inches

Materials
For great results it is always best to use the recommended yarn, I have used approximately:-

15 grams of King Cole Big Value Baby DK in colour 1
8 grams of King Cole Big Value Baby DK in each of the colours 2 & 3

4.00mm Clover crochet hook, 1 medium button

TENSION – 5dc and 6 rows measures approx 1 Inches

Bottom – With colour 1 make 4ch, 1dc into 2nd ch from hook, 1dc into each of next 3ch. Turn. (3dc)

Next Row – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into next dc. Turn.

Rpt last row until 13 rows have been worked in all. DNT.

Main Piece – Work 11dc evenly into row ends down first side of work, 1dc into each of the 3ch along starting chain edge, work 11dc evenly into row ends up second side of work, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn. (28dc)

Pattern Row – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end, ss to first dc. Turn.

Rpt Pattern Row in colour sequence as follows:-

Twice in colour 1. Fasten off.
Six times in colour 2. Fasten off.
Six times in colour 3. Fasten off.
Fifteen times in colour 1. Fasten off.

Strap – Counting from slip stitched seam, miss 4dc, join colour 1 to next dc, 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each of next 3dc. Turn. (4dc)

Next Row – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each of next 3dc. Turn.

Rpt last row until 13 rows have been worked in all. Turn.

Next Row – (Buttonhole) 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, make 2ch, miss 2dc, 1dc into last dc. Turn.

Next Row – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 2dc into 2ch space, 1dc into last dc. Turn.

Starting with 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, work 1dc into each dc. Fasten off.

Finishing – Weave in and trim off loose ends of yarn, attach button to front of cover and fasten through buttonhole on strap.
