For great results it is always best to use the recommended yarn, I have used approximately:-

180 grams of King Cole Comfort Aran yarn in colour 1
165 grams of King Cole Comfort Aran yarn in colour 2
165 grams of King Cole Comfort Aran yarn in colour 3

6.50mm crochet hook

TENSION – 1.5 groups and 2.5 rows measures approx 1 Inch

UK INSTRUCTIONS:

Made in multiples of 3 + 2.

With colour 1, make 122ch, work 1dc into 2nd ch from hook, 1dc into each ch to end. Turn. (121dc)

2nd Row – 2ch, (1htr, 1tr) into base of 2ch, * miss 2dc, (1dc, 1htr, 1tr) into next dc, * rpt from * to * to last 3dc, miss 2dc, 1dc into last dc. Turn.

Pattern Row – 2ch, (1htr, 1tr) into base of 2ch, * miss 1tr and 1htr, work (1dc, 1htr, 1tr) into next dc, * rpt from * to * to end, work 1dc into top of 2ch. Turn. (40 groups)

Rpt Pattern Row once. Turn. Fasten off.

# Rpt Pattern Row in colour sequence as follows:-

Three rows in colour 2, three rows in colour 3, three rows in colour 1. Fasten off. #

Rpt from # to # 9 more times or until 93 Pattern Rows have been worked in all. Turn.

Starting with 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, work 1dc into each st to end. Fasten off. DNT.

Edging – With colour 2 work 100dc evenly into row ends down first side of blanket, 3dc into corner, 1dc into each ch along starting chain edge, 3dc corner, 100dc evenly into row ends up second side of blanket, 3dc into corner, 1dc into each dc along top of blanket, 1dc into same space as first dc, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn.

Second Row – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, work 3 rows of 1dc into each dc around all four sides of blanket to end, working 3dc into corners, 1dc into base of 1ch and slip stitching to first dc on beginning of each row. Turn.

Peaked Edge – 1ch, (2dc, 2ch, 2dc) into base of 1ch, * miss 2dc, (2dc, 2ch, 2dc) into next dc, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to first dc on beginning row. Fasten off.

Finishing – Weave in and trim off all loose ends of yarn.
