Materials
For great results it is always best to use the recommended yarn, I have used approximately:-

220 grams of King Cole Big Value Baby DK

4.50mm Clover Soft Touch Crochet Hook

TENSION – 4.5tr & 2 rows measures approx 1 inch

Make 246ch loosely, (WS) 1dc into 2nd ch from hook, 1dc into each ch to end. Turn. (245dc)

2nd Row – 3ch, 1tr into base of 3ch, 1tr into each dc to end. Turn. (245tr)

3rd Row – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each tr to end. Turn.

4th Row – 3ch, 1tr into base of 3ch, miss 1dc, v-st into next dc, (see abbrev) * miss 2dc, v-st into next dc, * rpt from * to * to last 2dc, miss 1dc, 1tr into last dc. Turn. (81 vst)

5th Row – 3ch, 1tr into base of 3ch, v-st into each 2ch space to end, 1tr into last tr. Turn.

Rpt 5th Row until Eleven v-stitch rows have been worked. Turn.

15th Row – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each tr and 2ch space to end. Turn.

16th Row – 3ch, 1tr into base of 3ch, 1tr into each dc to end. Turn.

17th Row – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each tr to end. Turn.

Rpt from 4th to 17th Rows once. Fasten off.

Finishing – Weave in and trim off all loose ends of yarn.
