Crochet C2C Hatch Shawl – Hatch stich can be used in two ways, today I have used the corner to corner way in my C2C shawl, it is created from the point outwards and upwards, you can do as many rows and go as wide as you want.

Group. (1sc, ch3, 3dc) in same space or stitch.
Base of ch. Work in first stitch.
ch3 counts as first dc.
Finished Measurement: 25 Inches long x 52 Inches wide
Materials
For great results it is always best to use the recommended yarn, I have used approximately:-
230 grams of Lion Brand Cupcake yarn
GAUGE – 1.5 groups & 2.5 rows measures approx 1 inch

ch6, work 1dc in 4th ch from hook, 1dc in each of next 2ch. Turn.
2nd Row – (Inc Row) ch6, 1dc in 4th ch from hook, (see pic 1) 1dc in each of next 2ch, * skip 3dc, (1sc, ch3, 3dc) in ch3 space, (see pic 2). Turn.
3rd Row – (Inc Row) ch6, 1dc in 4th ch from hook, 1dc in each of next 2ch, skip 3dc, (1sc, ch3, 3dc) in next ch3 space, skip 3dc, (1sc, ch3, 3dc) in last ch3 space. Turn.
4th to 60th Row – (Inc Row) ch6, 1dc in 4th ch from hook, 1dc in each of next 2ch, * skip 3dc, (1sc, ch3, 3dc) in next ch3 space, * rpt from * to * to last 3dc and 3tch, skip 3dc, (1sc, ch3, 3dc) in last ch3 space. Turn. (60 groups)
You can add more rows if you wish for a wider and longer shawl.
Fasten off.
Finishing – Weave in and trim off any loose ends of yarn.
