For great results it is always best to use the recommended yarn, I have used approximately:-
115 grams of Caron Simply Soft #4 yarn (for 2 boot cuffs)
An equivalent yarn would be an Aran weight Yarn
5.50mm crochet hook, 3 medium buttons

Crochet all ss loosely as you will be working into them on future rows.
Made in multiples of 2 stitches.

2nd Row – 1ch, ss into the stitch at the base of the 1ch, * 1htr into next htr, ss into next ss, * rpt from * to * to end. Turn.
Rpt 2nd Row until 60 rows have been worked in all from beginning, you can add more rows here for a wider boot cuff.
61st Row – (buttonholes) make 1ch, ss into the stitch at the base of the 1ch, # 1htr into next htr, make 2ch, miss 2st, ss into next ss, # rpt # to # twice, * 1htr into next htr, ss into next ss, * rpt * to * to end. Turn.
62nd Row – 1ch, ss into the stitch at the base of the 1ch, * 1htr into next htr, ss into next ss, * rpt from * to * to first 2ch space, # 1htr and ss into same space, htr into next htr, ss into next ss, # rpt # to # twice, 1htr into next htr, ss into next ss.
