Free Crochet Stitch Tutorial-Wave Stitch – The wave design is a simple to learn close pattern, it produces a beautiful strong visual textured look and can be made using two colors or more, or it looks just as good in one color.

Great for crocheting bags, hats, blankets etc.

Free Crochet Stitch Tutorial-Wave Stitch

Abbreviations USA
ch.
     Chain

sc.     Single Crochet
dc.     Double Crochet
sl st.  Slip Stitch
Rpt.   Repeat

ch3 counts as first dc.

Make a chain length in multiples of 10 + 6

First Row – 1sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1sc in each of next 4ch, * 1dc in each of next 5ch, 1sc in each of next 5ch, * rpt from * to * to end. Turn.

Second Row – ch3, 1dc in each of next 4sc, * 1sc in each of next 5dc, 1dc in each of next 5sc, * rpt from * to * to end. Turn.

Third Row – ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each of next 4dc, * 1dc in each of next 5sc, 1sc in each of next 5dc, * rpt from * to * to end. (working last sc in top of ch3)

Repeat the Second and Third Rows until you have the desired length for your project.

To use more colors fasten off and change every 3rd row.
