Work 5dc in next dc, drop loop from hook, inset hook from front to back in the first dc of the 5dc of group, pick up and pull dropped loop through the stitch.
Base of ch. Work into first stitch
3ch counts as first tr
Approx Finished Size: 8 Inches x 6.5 Inches

For great results it is always best to use the recommended yarn I have used approximately:-
65 grams of King Cole Cottonsoft DK
4.00mm & 4.50mm crochet hook

UK INSTRUCTIONS:
With 4.50mm hook make 24ch loosely, 2dc into 2nd ch from hook, 1dc into each of next 21ch, 4dc into next ch, working along starting chain edge work 1dc into each of next 21dc, 2dc into last dc, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn. (50dc)
2nd Round – 1ch, 1dc into stitch at base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn.
Change to 4.00mm hook.
3rd Round – 3ch, 1tr into stitch at base of 3ch, (RS) * miss 1dc, 2tr into next dc, * rpt from * to * to last dc, miss dc, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of round. DNT. (25, 2tr groups)
4th Round – 3ch, work tr into space at the base of the ch, * miss 2tr, 2tr into space between next 2tr, * rpt from * to * to end, miss tr, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of round. DNT.
Rpt 4th Round until 20 rounds have been worked in all from beginning. Turn at the end of the 20th round.
21st Round – 1ch, 1dc into stitch at base of 1ch, 1dc into each stitch to end, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn. (50dc)
Popcorn Round – 3ch, PC (see abbrev) into next dc, * tr into next dc, PC into next dc, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of round. Turn. (25pc)
22nd Round – 1ch, 1dc into the stitch at the base of 1ch, 1dc into each stitch to end. Fasten off. (50dc)
Chain Tie – With 4.50mm hook make 91ch, work ss into 2nd ch from hook, ss into each ch to end. Fasten off.
Finishing – Weave in and trim off all loose ends of yarn, thread chain tie through alternative 2tr groups two rounds before the Popcorn Round.
