Pull up a loop from each of next 2dc, yrh and draw through all loops.

Base of ch. Work into first stitch

Approx Size:   11 inches x 17.5 inches (not including strap)

Materials
For great results it is always best to use the recommended yarn, I have used approximately:-

110 grams of King Cole Cottonsoft

4.50mm Clover Crochet Hook, medium button

TENSION – 5dc & 5 rows measures approx 1 inch

Make 43ch, (RS) 1tr into 4ch from hook, 1tr into each ch to end. Turn. (40tr + 3ch) 

2nd Row – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each tr to end. Turn. (41dc)

3rd Row – 3ch, * working over 2nd Row, work fptr (see abbrev) around tr on row below, 1tr into next dc, * rpt * to * to end. Turn.

4th Row – Rpt 2nd Row.

Rpt 3rd & 4th Rows 29 more times. Turn.

Border – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc across, 3dc into corner, 1dc into each row end down first side of towel, 3dc into corner, 1dc into each ch along starting chain edge, 3dc into corner, 1dc into each row end up second side of towel, 1dc into corner, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn.

Starting with 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, work 1dc into each dc around all sides of towel to end, working 3dc into the 3 corners, 1dc into last corner, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn.

Shape Top & Strap – 1ch, dec 1dc (see abbrev) over over first 2dc, dec 1dc over next 2dc, 1dc into each dc until last 4dc, dec 1dc over next 2dc (twice). Turn. (41dc)

Starting with 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, work 1dc into each dc to end. Turn.

Decrease Row 1 – ch1, dec 1sc (see abbrev) over first 2sc, * 1sc in next sc, dec 1sc over next 2sc, * rpt from * to * to end. Turn. (27sc)

Decrease Row 2 – ch1, dec 1sc over first 2sc, * dec 1sc over next 2sc, * rpt from * to * to last sc, 1sc in sc. Turn. (14sc)

Starting with ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, work 2 rows of 1sc in each sc to end. Turn.

Rpt Decrease Row 1 once. (9sc)

Next Row – ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, dec 1sc over next 2sc, 1sc in each of next 3sc, dec 1sc over next 2sc, 1sc in last sc. (7sc)

Starting with ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, work 20 rows of 1sc in each sc to end. Turn.

Buttonhole Row – ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in next 2sc, ch2, skip 1sc, 1sc in each of last 3sc. Turn.

Next Row – ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc and ch2 space to end. Turn.

Starting with ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, work 1 row of 1sc in each sc to end. Fasten off.

Finishing – Weave in and trim off all loose ends of yarn, attach button to correspond with buttonhole.
