Abbreviations UK RS. Right Side ch. Chain tr. Treble Crochet rpt. Repeat ss. Slip Stitch BLO. Back Loop Only
3ch counts as first tr
To fit approx: Adult
Materials For great results it is always best to use the recommended yarn, I have used approximately:- 110 grams of King Cole Comfort Aran
5.50mm Crochet Hook
TENSION – 4tr and 2 rows measures approx 1 inch

UK INSTRUCTIONS:
Make 46ch loosely, 1tr into 4th ch from hook, 1tr into each ch to end. Turn. (43tr + 3ch)
2nd Row – Working into BLO make 3ch, 1tr into each tr to end, 1tr into top of 3ch. Turn.
Rpt 2nd Row until 38 rows have been worked in all. Turn.
Fold work in half (bottom to top), ss through each stitch on last row worked and starting chain edge to seal and make a round, fasten off leaving a length of yarn to gather with.
Finishing Crown – Thread length of yarn through alternate tr along first side of row ends and pull tight, secure end so it does not break free.
Turn through to RS.
Pop-Pom – I used the Clover Pom-Pom maker number 85
Brim – Make a brim by turning back approx 3 inches on to front of hat. Attach pom-pom to crown.
