Rpt 3rd & 4th Rows until 66 rows have been worked or work measures approx 16.5 Inches from beginning. You can add more rows here for a wider hat if you wish.

Fold your work in half widthways and slip stitch the last row you just worked and the starting chain edge together to make a round. Do not Fasten off.

Turn your work onto the side so you are working into row ends.

Top – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, * miss 1 row end, 1dc into next row end, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to first dc on beginning of row. (33dc)

Fasten off leaving a length of yarn to gather the top with.

Weave loose length of yarn through the row of dc’s evenly to end and pull to gather tightly, secure the yarn so it does not break free.

Using colour 2 make a pom-pom, I used Clover pom-pom maker number 85

Turn up brim, attach pom-pom to crown.

Finishing – Weave in and trim off any loose ends of yarn.
