Pull up a loop from each of the next dc and 1ch space, yrh, pull through 3 loops.

Make a chain length in multiples of 2.
I started with 40ch, pull up a loop from each of 2nd & 3rd ch from hook, yrh, pull through 3 loops, * make 1ch, pull up a loop from each of next 2ch, yrh, pull through 3 loops, * rpt from * to * to last ch, make 1ch, 1dc into last ch. Turn.
2nd Row – 1ch, dc2tog (see abbrev) over first dc and 1ch space, * make 1ch, dc2tog over next dc and 1ch space, * rpt from * to * to last dc, make 1ch, 1dc in last dc.
Rpt 2nd Row until your required length.
