ch.      Chain
dc.      Double Crochet
rpt.     Repeat

Base of ch. Work into first stitch

Approx Finished Size:   6 Inches wide x 22.5 Inch Circumference  

Materials
For great results it is always best to use the recommended yarn, I have used approximately:-

60 grams of King Cole Comfort Kids or Comfort DK

4.50mm crochet hook

TENSION – 5dc & 5 rows measures approx 1 inch

Make 31ch, 1dc into 2nd ch from hook, 1dc into each ch to end. Turn. (30dc)

2nd to 124th Row – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end. Turn. You can add more rows here for a longer cowl if you wish.

Fold your work in half widthways and slip stitch the last row you just worked and the starting chain edge together to make a round.

Finishing – Weave in and trim off all loose ends of yarn.

Wear folded.
