Crochet Bubble Stitch Tutorial Free pattern on Crochet 'n' Create

Crochet bubble stitch tutorial, free written instructions on how to do this fun, pretty and cute stitch, use to make any projects from baby items to blankets. It is crocheted over a couple of rows and made up of just 2 simple stitches.

For the swatches I have used a worsted weight #4 yarn (Aran for UK crocheters) with a 5.00mm size crochet hook, but any thickness yarn and hook size can be used.

UK INSTRUCTIONS:

Made in multiples of 2.

I have made 24ch loosely for the swatch, work 1dc into 2nd ch from hook, 1dc into each ch to end. Turn. (23dc)

2nd & 3rd Row – 1ch, 1dc into the stitch at the base of the 1ch, 1dc into each stitch to end. Turn.

4th Row – 1ch, ss into the stitch at the base of the 1ch, * 1dtr into next dc, ss into next dc, * rpt from * to * to end. Turn.

5th Row – 1ch, 1dc into the stitch at the base of the 1ch, 1dc into each stitch to end. Turn.

Rpt 2nd to 5th Row until required length.
