Bubble baby crochet jumpsuit, there is nothing cuter than a little one snuggled in a jumpsuit, I have made this pattern in a half double crochet and bubble stitch design and it is an addition to my cotswold collection, it’s easy and quick to make, I have added my crocheted teddy bear and rabbit face appliques for decoration, so hope you enjoy.

Rpt 12th Row until 30 rows have been worked from beginning. Turn.

Divide for legs
First Leg – 1ch, 1dc into the stitch at the base of the 1ch, 1dc into each of next 44htr, ss to first dc on beginning of row to make a round. Turn. (45dc)

Tip! – As you work along the next row push the dtr to the front of your work to make the bubbles.

Bubble Row – 1ch, ss loosely into the stitch at the base of the 1ch, work 1dtr into next dc, ss loosely into next dc, * 1dtr into next dc, ss loosely into next dc, * rpt from * to * end, ss to ss on beginning of row. Turn. (22 bubbles)

Next Row – 1ch, 1dc into the stitch at the base of the 1ch, 1dc into each stitch to end, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn.

Rpt last two rows once.

Rpt Bubble Row. Fasten off.

Return to stitches at division of legs, join yarn to last stitch of first leg (see pic) and work second leg the same as the first, working along into un-worked stitches. Fasten off.

WIP-leg join

Sleeves x 2 – With RS facing join yarn to the side of the htr under arm, make 1ch, work 1dc into same space, 1dc into each htr to end, 1dc into side of of htr on opposite side of sleeve under arm, ss to first dc on beginning of row to make a round. Turn. (30dc)

Bubble Row – 1ch, ss loosely into stitch at base of 1ch, work 1dtr into next dc, ss loosely into next dc, * 1dtr into next dc, ss loosely into next dc, * rpt from * to * end, ss to ss on beginning of row. Turn. (14 bubbles)

Next Row – 1ch, 1dc into the stitch at the base of the 1ch, 1dc into each stitch to end, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn.

Rpt last two rows once.

Rpt Bubble Row. Fasten off.

Button/Buttonhole Bands – Using one size larger hook with RS facing join yarn to right hand side of back edge, make 1ch, 1dc into the stitch at the base of the 1ch, work 30 more dc evenly into row ends to neck edge, work (1dc, 1ch, 1dc) into corner, 1dc into each ch around neck, (1dc, 1ch, 1dc) into corner, work 31 more dc evenly into row ends down second front edge. Turn.

Next Row – 1ch, 1dc into the stitch at the base of the 1ch, 1dc into each dc along, 1dc into 1ch space on corner. Turn. (33dc)

Starting with 1ch, work 1dc into the base of the 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end. Fasten off.

Buttonhole Row – Return to first front edge, starting from corner and working from neck downwards, with WS facing work 1ch, 1dc into stitch at base of 1ch, make * 2ch, miss 1dc, 1dc into each of next 6dc, * rpt from * to * three more times, make 2ch, miss 1dc, 1dc into each of remaining dc. Turn.

Starting with 1ch, 1dc into the base of the 1ch, work 1dc into each dc and 2ch space to end. Fasten off.

Finishing – Close small gap under arms and secure bottom of button bands to top of legs, weave in all loose ends of yarn and trim off, attach buttons to correspond with buttonholes, decorate with applique.
