Materials
For great results it is always best to use the recommended yarn, I have used approximately:-

35 grams of King Cole Big Value Baby DK in colour 1
Small amount of King Cole Big Value Baby yarn in colour 2

5.00mm Clover Crochet Hook

TENSION – 5dc & 6 rows measures approx 1 inch

Made in rounds throughout.

With colour 1, make 5ch, ss to first ch to form a ring, work 1ch, 10dc into ring, ss to first dc on beginning of round. Turn. (10dc)

2nd Round – (Inc Round) 1ch, 2dc into base of 1ch, 2dc into each dc to end, ss to first dc on beginning of round. Turn. (20dc)

3rd Round – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end, ss to first dc on beginning of round. Turn.

4th Round – (Inc Round) 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 2dc into next dc, * 1dc into next dc, 2dc into next dc, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to first dc on beginning of round. Turn. (30dc)

5th Round – Rpt 3rd Round.

6th Round – (Inc Round) 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into next dc, 2dc into next dc, * 1dc into each of next 2dc, 2dc into next dc, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to first dc on beginning of round. Turn. (40dc)

7th Round – Rpt 3rd Round.

8th Round – (Inc Round) 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each of next 2dc, 2dc into next dc, * 1dc into each of next 3dc, 2dc into next dc, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to first dc on beginning of round. Turn. (50dc)

9th Round – Rpt 3rd Round.

10th Round – (Inc Round) 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each of next 3dc, 2dc into next dc, * 1dc into each of next 4dc, 2dc into next dc, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to first dc on beginning of round. Turn. (60dc)

11th to 17th Round – Rpt 3rd Round. Fasten off.

18th Round – Join in colour 2 (WS) make 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dtr into next dc, * 1dc into next dc, 1dtr into next dc, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to first dc on beginning of round. Turn. Fasten off.

19th to 23rd Round – Join in colour 1, rpt 3rd Round. Fasten off.

24th Round – Join in colour 2, rpt 18th Round. Fasten off.

25th to 30th Round – Join in colour 1, rpt 3rd Round. Fasten off.

31st Round – Join in colour 2, ss into each dc to end, ss to first ss on beginning of round. Fasten off.

Using colour 2 make a pom-pom, I used Clover pom-pom maker number 65.

Finishing – Weave in and trim off any loose ends of yarn, attach pom-pom to crown.
