220 grams of Stylecraft Special Aran yarn in colour 1
180 grams of Stylecraft Special Aran yarn in colour 2

With colour 1 make 150ch, (RS) work dc2tog (see abbrev) over 2nd and 3rd ch from hook, * 1dc into each of next 9ch, work 3dc into next ch, 1dc into each of next 9ch, miss 2ch, * rpt from * to * across to last 2ch, work dc2tog over last 2ch. Turn. (7 peaks)
2nd Row – Working into BLO for this row make 1ch, work dc2tog over first 2dc, * 1dc into next 9dc, work 3dc into next, 1dc into each of next 9dc, miss 2dc, * rpt from * to * to last 2dc, work dc2tog over last 2dc. Turn.
Rpt 2nd Row in colour sequence as follows:-
Eight more rows in colour 1.
# Two rows in colour 2, two rows in colour 1, ten rows in colour 2, two rows colour 1, two rows colour 2, ten rows colour 1 #
Rpt from # to # until work measures 35.5 inches. Fasten off.
Border x 2 (optional) – Using colour 1 work one row of 1dc into each row end along side of blanket
Starting with 1ch, 1dc into the stitch at the base of the 1ch, work one row of 1dc into each dc to end. Fasten off.
Finishing – Weave in and trim off all loose ends of yarn.
