Crochet Folded Leaf Scrunchie – Scrunchies are as popular as ever and I have been asked many times to write more patterns for them.
They are pretty and quick to make using a hair elastic, I have used a similar design to me folded petal flower to create this one.

Small amounts of King Cole Comfort DK Yarn
4.00mm crochet hook, 1 elastic hair band

UK INSTRUCTIONS:
(WS) Join yarn to elastic hair band and work 24dc evenly around the band to end, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn. (24dc)
2nd Row – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, * (1htr, 1tr, 3dtr, 1tr, 1htr) into next dc, 1dc into next dc, * rpt from * to * to last dc, (1htr, 1tr, 3dtr, 1tr, 1htr) into dc, ss to first dc on the beginning of row. Turn. (12 groups)
Your work will appear frilled, but will fold into place in the finishing.
3rd Row – * work 1dc into each of next 3st, (2dc, 2ch, 2dc) into next st, 1dc into each of next 3st, ss into next dc, * rpt from * to * to last group, work 1dc into each of next 3st, (2dc, 2ch, 2dc) into next st, 1dc into each of next 3st, ss to first ss on beginning of row. Fasten off.
Finishing – Weave in trim any loose ends of yarn, fold base of petals over each other.
