For great results it is always best to use the recommended yarn, I have used approximately:-

Small amounts of King Cole Cottonsoft DK in colours 1, 2 & 3

4.50mm crochet hook

UK INSTRUCTIONS:

With colour 1 make 13ch, (RS) 2dc into 2nd ch from hook, 1dc into each of next 10ch, 4dc into next ch, working on opposite side of cast on chain, work 1dc into each of next 10ch, 2dc into last ch, ss to to first dc on beginning of row. Turn. (28dc)

2nd Row – 1ch, miss 1dc, 2dc into each of next 2dc, 1dc into each of next 10dc, 2dc into each of next 4dc, 1dc into each of next 10dc, 2dc into each of last 2dc, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn. (36dc)

3rd Row – 1ch, miss 1dc, 1dc into each dc to end, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Fasten off. Turn.

4th Row – Join in colour 2, rpt 3rd Row. Do Not Fasten off.

5th Row – 1ch, miss 1dc, work 2dc into each of next 4dc, 1dc into each of next 10dc, 2dc into each of next 8dc, 1dc into each of next 10dc, 2dc into each of last 4dc, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Fasten off. Turn. (52dc)

6th & 7th Rows – Join in colour 1, rpt 3rd Row.

8th Row – Join in colour 3, make 1ch, miss 1dc, * 2dc into next dc, 1dc into next dc, * rpt from * to * three more times, 1dc into each of next 10dc, rpt from * to * eight times, 1dc into each of next 10dc, rpt from * to * 4 times, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn. (68dc)

9th Row – Rpt 3rd Row. Do Not Turn or Fasten off.

10th Row – 1ch, miss 1dc, work ss into each dc to end, ss to first ss on beginning of row. Fasten off.

Finishing – Weave in and trim off all loose ends of yarn.
