Today’s stitch tutorial is how to work the crochet offset v stitch, an easy and simple design, it is the same as the normal v-stitch but you work in to the dc/tr not the ch1 space.

It creates a lovely loose pattern that looks great in multiple colors as well as single.
Crochet Offset V Stitch USA
Abbreviations – USA
ch. Chain
st. Stitch(es)
dc. Double Crochet
vst. (1dc, ch1, 1dc) into same space or stitch.
tch. Turning Chain

The materials I have used for the samples were Stylecraft Special Double Knitting yarn in pistachio and white, using a 5.00mm Clover crochet hook
Make a chain length in multiples of 3 + 1
1st Row – Work 1dc in 4th ch from hook, * skip 2ch, work vst (see abbrev) in next
ch, * rpt from * to * to last 3ch, skip 2ch, 1dc in last ch. Turn.
2nd Row – ch4, 1dc in base of ch4, * skip 1dc and ch1, work vst in next dc, * rpt
from * to * to 1dc and 4tch remain, skip 1dc, 1dc in 3rd of ch4. Turn.
Repeat the 2nd Row until you have the length you need.

Repeat the 2nd Row until you have the required length you need and that’s all there is too it folks, pretty easy don’t you think.
