Crochet Tops-Tails Dishcloth

Crochet tops-tails dishcloth, an easy dishcloth or spa cloth for your home made in 100% soft cotton yarn, I love working on dishcloths especially in the Summer as they are lightweight and easy to carry around, they make great carry around projects.

Made in simple blanket stitch groups, i’m sure you will love making lots of cloths.

A 4.50mm crochet hook has been used for the dishcloth, I have used a cotton light worsted DK #3 yarn using three colors for the crochet tops-tails dishcloth samples.

Approx Finished Size:  7.5 inches x 8 inches

Materials
For great results it is always best to use the recommended yarn, I have used approximately:-

100 grams of King Cole Cottonsoft yarn

4.50mm crochet hook

UK INSTRUCTIONS:

To add some colour at the beginning of the dishcloth you can use a different shade of yarn for some rows.

Made in multiples of 3 + 2.

Make 35ch loosely, work 1dc into 2nd ch from hook, 1dc into each ch to end. Turn. (34dc)

2nd Row – 2ch, work (1dc, 2tr) into the stitch at the base of the 2ch, * miss 2dc, work (1dc, 2tr) into dc, * rpt from * to * to last 3dc, miss 2dc, 1dc into last dc. Turn. (11, (1dc, 2tr) groups)

3rd Row – 2ch, work (1dc, 2tr) into the stitch at the base of the 2ch, * miss 2tr, work (1dc, 2tr) into next dc, * rpt from * to * to last 2tr and 1dc, miss 2tr, work 1dc into last dc. Turn.

Rpt 3rd Row until 26 rows have been worked (including dc row at the beginning). Fasten off.

Finishing – Weave in and trim off any loose ends of yarn.
