Cross Double Groups Stitch

Cross Double Groups Stitch – Lovely crochet stitch that can be used for most projects, a 2 row pattern repeat, learn how to do this stitch from my tutorial below.

     Chain

sc.     Single Crochet
dc.     Double Crochet
rpt.    Repeat

Group.
Work 3dc in ch2 space, working across the front of the 3dc, work 1dc in the 2nd of the skipped sc.

Base of ch. Work in first stitch.

ch3 counts as first dc.

Make a chain length in multiples of 4 + 1.

1st Row – (RS) 1sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1sc in each ch to end. Turn.

2nd Row – ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in next sc, * ch2, skip 2sc, sc in next 2sc, * rpt from * to * to last 2sc, work 1sc in each sc. Turn.

3rd Row – ch3, 1dc in next sc, * skip next 2sc, 3dc in ch2 space, working across the front of the 3dc, work 1dc in the 2nd of the skipped sc, (see pic) * rpt from * to * to last 2sc, work 1dc in each sc. Turn.

Rpt 3rd & 4th Rows to required length.

Group.
Work 3tr into 2ch space, working across the front of the 3tr, work 1tr into the 2nd of the missed dc.

Base of ch. Work in first stitch
