TENSION – 6htr and 3 rows of htr’s measures approx 1 Inch

Baby Cuffed Slippers

Made in rounds without turning until the end of the 4th Round

Commence with Sole – With 4.00mm hook make 11ch, (RS) 3htr into 4th ch from hook, 1htr into each of next 6ch, 8htr into last ch, working on opposite side of cast on ch, work 1htr into each of next 6ch, 4htr into last ch, ss to top of the 3ch on beginning of row. (27htr + 2ch)

2nd Round – (Inc Row) 2ch, work 2htr into each of next 3htr, 1htr into each of next 8htr, 2htr into each of next 6htr, 1htr into each of next 8htr, 2htr into each of last 2htr, 1htr into base of 2ch, ss to top of 2ch on beginning of round. (39htr + 2ch)

3rd Round – 2ch, miss first htr, 1htr into each htr to end, 1htr into base of 2ch, ss to top of 2ch on beginning of round.

4th Round – Working into BLO of stitch, make 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each htr to end, ss to first dc on beginning of round. Turn (40dc)

5th Round – Working through both loops from now on make 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end, ss to first dc on the beginning of round. Turn.

Rpt last row once. Fasten off.

Instep – With WS facing and counting from where you fastened off, miss 10dc, rejoin yarn with a ss to next dc, 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into next 19dc. Turn leaving 10dc un-worked. (20dc)

Second Row – (Dec Row) 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, dec 1dc over next 2dc, (see abbrev) 9 times, 1dc into last dc. Turn. (11dc)

Third Row – (Dec Row) 1ch, 1dc in base of 1ch, (dec 1dc over next 2dc) 5 times. Turn. (6dc)

Fourth Row – Make 1ch, insert hook and pull up loop in each dc, yrh and pull through all 7 loops on hook to close, work 1ch. Turn.

Top – 1ch, work 4dc evenly across first side of top of instep, 1dc into each of the next 20dc, work 4dc evenly across second side of the top of instep. Turn. (28dc)

Eyelet Hole Row – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, * make 2ch, miss 1dc, 1dc into each of next 2dc, * rpt from * to * to end. Turn. (9, 2ch spaces)

Starting with 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, work 1dc into each dc and 2ch space to end. Turn. (28dc)

Next Row – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end. Turn.

Rpt last row four more times.

Edging – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into next dc, * make 3ch, 1dc into each of next 2dc, * rpt from * to * to end, working down first side of split, work 8dc evenly into row ends to bottom of V, ss into V, 8dc evenly into row ends up second side of split, ss to first dc on beginning of round.

Fasten off.

Crab Stitch Sole – With 5.00mm hook and top of bootie towards you, rejoin yarn with a ss to back seam, make 1ch, work one row of crab stitch, (see abbrev) into loose loops on sole of bootie, ss to first dc on beginning of row.

Fasten off.

Finishing – Weave in and trim off any loose ends of yarn, thread ribbon through eyelet holes on ankle and tie in a bow, fold down top.
