yo pull up loop, (twice), yo draw through 4 loops, yo draw through 2 loops.

Approx Finished size:  31.5 x 31.5 Inch

Materials
For great results it is always best to use the recommended yarn, I have used approximately:-

250 grams of King Cole Big Value Baby DK yarn in color white
60 grams of King Cole Big Value Baby DK in each of the 3 contrast colors

An equivalent yarn would be a light worsted #3

5.00mm Clover crochet hook

GAUGE – 4sc and 6 rows of sc measures approx 1 inch

If you wish to make the blanket bigger you can add multiples of 6 to your beginning chain and more rows.

With contrast color 1 ch108 loosely, (RS) 1sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1sc in each ch to end. Turn. (107sc)

2nd Row – ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, ch1, skip 1sc, work ps group (see abbrev) in next sc, * ch1, skip 2sc, 1sc in next sc, ch1, skip 2sc, ps group in next sc, * rpt from * to * to last 2sc, ch1, skip 1sc, 1sc in last sc. Turn. (18, ps groups)

Fasten off. Join in white color.

3rd Row – ch4, (1sc, ch2, 1sc) in ch1 space on ps group, * ch1, 1vst (see abbrev) in next sc, ch1, (1sc, ch2, 1sc) in ch1 space on ps group, * rpt from * to * to last sc, ch1, work 1dc in sc. Turn.

4th Row – ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, ch1, ps group in next ch2 space, * ch1, 1sc in vst, ch1, ps group in ch2 space, * rpt from * to * to end, ch1, 1sc in 3rd of ch4. Turn.

Rpt 3rd and 4th Rows once each in white color.

Fasten off. Join in contrast color 2.

Rpt 3rd and 4th Rows changing color every four rows, working other contrast colors and white color yarn alternately until 70 rows have been worked in all or work measures approx 27.5 inches from beginning. Turn.

Rpt 3rd and 4th Rows once each in contrast color 1. Turn.

Continue with contrast color 1, ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, * 1sc in each of next (2ps, ch1 space and 2ps), 1dc in next sc, * rpt from * to * to last sc, 1dc in last sc. DNT. (110 Stitches)

# # Working in row ends down the side of the blanket, start with ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, work 109 more sc evenly in row ends to next corner. Turn.

Starting with ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, work 1sc in each sc to corner.

Fasten off. # #

Rpt from # # to # # on second side of blanket.

Border – Starting on a corner with white color yarn, work five rows of 1sc in each sc, slip stitching and turning at the end of each row around blanket to end, work 3sc in each of the corners. Turn.

Next Row – sl st across 3sc, ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, skip 1sc, * 3ps’s in next sc, skip 1sc, 1sc in next sc, skip 1sc, * rpt from * to * around all four sides of blanket, working (2ps, ch2, 2ps) in each of the corners, sl st to first sc on beginning of row.

Fasten off.

Finishing – Weave in and trim off any loose ends of yarn.
