dc.        Double Crochet
tr.         Treble Crochet

tch.       Turning Chain
DNT.     Do Not Turn

Group.  (2tr, 2ch, 1dc) into same space or stitch.

Base of ch. Work in first stitch.

Approx Size:   10 x 10 Inches

Materials
For great results it is always best to use the recommended yarn, I have used approximately:-

50 grams of King Cole Cottonsoft DK

4.00mm & 3.50, crochet hooks

TENSION – 5tr & 3.5 rows measures approx 1 inch

Using 4.00mm hook make 40ch loosely, work 1tr into 4th ch from hook, * miss 2ch, (2tr, 2ch, 1dc) into next ch, * rpt from * to * last 3ch, miss 2ch, 2tr into last ch. Turn. (11 groups)

Pattern Row – 3ch, 1tr into base of 3ch, (2tr, 2ch, 1dc) into next 2ch space, * miss 2tr and dc, (2tr, 2ch, 1dc) into next 2ch space, * rpt from * to * to end, miss 2tr, work 2tr into top of 3ch. Turn.

Rpt Pattern Row until 22 rows have been worked in all from beginning. Turn.

Change to 3.50mm hook.

Border – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into next tr, * work 1dc into next 2ch space, 1dc into each of next 2tr, * rpt from * to * to last tr and 3tch, 1dc into tr, 3dc into top of 3ch, work 32dc evenly into row ends down first side of cloth, 3dc into corner, 1dc into each ch along starting chain edge, 3dc into corner, work 32dc evenly into row ends up second side of cloth, 1dc into corner, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn.

Starting with 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, work 1 row of 1dc into each dc around cloth to end, working 3dc into corners, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn.

Patterned Edge – 3ch, (2tr, 2ch, 1dc) into base of 3ch, * miss 2dc, (2tr, 2ch, 1dc) into next dc, * rpt from * to * around cloth to end, working (3tr, 2ch, 1dc) into corners, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. DNT.

Loop – ss to next 2ch space, make 20ch, ss to ss. Fasten off.

Finishing – Weave in and trim off any loose ends of yarn.
